Well lets see what has happened this week!
Nothing too exciting really!
We were able to meet with Luke and we discussed about the importance of praying and listening to the promptings and feelings of the holy ghost. He was mentioning to us how he felt when he came to Zion’s baptism and also to church and told us that he feels as if he is ready. So what did we do? We simply invited him to be baptized and he said yes! We’re so excited for him, seeing his testimony grow each time we meet with him is one of my favorite things to see throughout teaching investigators because they have that own desire. He even bore his testimony yesterday at church explaining to everyone what blessings he has seen just being able to experience coming to church, seeing his son be an example for him and also for meeting with the missionaries. So we are very excited to see him gain his testimony of the gospel even more with his family.
Speaking of Zion! Since Sister Bates is gone, guess who gets to teach Zion to play the piano? ME! Should be interesting since I am a bit rusty…but we’ll see how that goes! 🙂 One advise I can give out is if you have a talent in something, ALWAYS keep practicing it! Never let go of it because I regret not practicing the piano more, but that’s OK I’ll pick it up when I come back home. 🙂
Nothing else really happened this week, that’s pretty much my only exciting news, just regular door knocking and lessons! 🙂
Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July! 🙂
