General E-Mail December 13 – January 25

G’day mates!Canon PowerShot ELPH 160098

SOOO sorry it’s been a VERY long time since I’ve sent a general e-mail out! But don’t worry! I haven’t been attacked by any magpies, snakes or spiders, so I’m still alive! πŸ™‚
Lets see…of course LOTS has happened so I will give you a brief update, so sorry if I repeat myself from the last e-mail!
I’m still serving in the Pimpama area. It’s on the Gold Coast, where it’s one of the most favorite places to be for missionaries. I’m in a rich area and it’s very hard to get people interested but I’m still smiling and having a good time anyways. πŸ™‚
This area is GORGEOUS. It has a beachy breeze, mostly sunny or cloudy and the houses here are very fancy. I love them and wish I could take them to Oregon. They remind me of a lot of the houses in Florida and California! The flat I’m in at the moment is a 2 story, 3 bathroom, 3 bedroom, living room and kitchen and it’s right next to a amusement park, Dream World.Β πŸ™‚
This area is also mostly contained of New Zealanders, aka Kiwis. I seriously feel like I’m serving in New Zealand with how many there are here!Β πŸ™‚
I find that this area is mostly a less active area and mostly tracting area. Within the last 5 weeks we weren’t able to find any new investigators but thankfully we were able to find 3 new investigators and I’m very excited to help them grow closer to Christ and also know how this gospel really can bless their life. πŸ™‚
My last companion I had was Sister Esekielu, she was a new missionary from America Samoa, and I got to finish up training her. Transfers was today and now I will be training a brand new missionary and will receive her on Wednesday! So I’m very excited for that! πŸ™‚
Christmas was great! I was able to Skype my family and it was so good seeing and hearing from them!
Also! Happy Australia Day on the 26th! πŸ™‚
What else…
We also had deep cleaning this week and sadly our AC wasn’t working…so that was a nice workout I guess I could say!
Oh! I saw a rabbit for the first time here! Aussies HATE rabbits! Only because they destroy their crops.
The Aussies weren’t joking when they said January, February and MarchΒ are the hottest months!
Also! HUGE change with transfers! We are no longer meeting at the chapel on Tuesdays for transfer meetings! From now on we will be getting a call Saturday night telling us where we will be going and the we travel by train on Monday, this means carrying ALL luggage AND bike…SO CRAZY!
SO! That’s pretty much my last few weeks! Pretty busy, crazy but great!
Hope you all are doing great! Love and miss you all!
Hoo roo!
