I AM ALIVE!

Hi mom and dad!

Well it’s day 3 in the MTC and words can’t explain how happy and grateful I am to be here. Seriously. I have already learned so much and I am already feeling good enough with my spirit. I only have 30 minutes to email you right now to just let you know that I am alive, I’m not starving, wanting to murder my companions or dead on the ground. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have 2 companions and it’s actually funny, I met these 2 sisters online! Ha! Sister Kunz and Sister Alldredge are my companions and they both are 19! They are just the sweetest girls. We get along great and have our first investigator tomorrow! Woohoo! We are pretty excited and hoping the spirit will be in the room strongly.

Like you said mom, it’s really hard to remember EVERYTHING! But all I can really tell you is that this place brings so much happiness, comfort and the spirit.

We met with our branch president last night and we got to introduce ourselves and then have a private interview and tell him a little more personal stuff. But I explained to him how when it comes to studying the gospel I like to write things down, and slowly understand and he told me that is all I need to do and keep on doing it. And so far it has helped me A LOT.

I wish I could tell you so much more but like I said, I only have a short time!

My P-DAY this week will be on Tuesday so be on the look out for my general email! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for your Dear Elder letters! So sweet of you guys! I love you so much and miss you so much!

I know the gospel is true and I’m so glad that I am serving for the Lord and doing his work. I’m also grateful that I had a tender heart and I prayed about a mission, so crazy to think how the Lord tells us when it is the right time. I still haven’t gotten my VISA yet but I know I will soon, just takes time. ๐Ÿ™‚

I LOVE YOU!!!

Sister Grawrock

PS I was going to send you some pictures but it won’t let me! Don’t worry though! You’ll get pictures soon enough!

PPS. Give the kitties hugs for me!

    Hi Alina,
    We feel so fortunate.
We got to meet you, just in time to hear your news of what I imagine is the journey of a lifetime. We feel so happy for you and pleased we can catch a glimpse of your mission so far away. We thought Oregon was far from us! Australia!!! Get lots of rest so your bright personality continues to shine.
    Love,
    Your Dad’s cousin Evelyn
