June 17 – June 23

G’day!

Hoooly moooly! So much has happened since the 17th, I can barley remember!

First of all,

thank you all for giving me your email so you can receive my weekly general emails to know that I am not dead. 🙂

Leeet’s see…

it has been an amazing experience being here at the MTC (missionary training center) so far! I have already learned so much about the gospel and how to become a prepared missionary! 🙂

My visa to Australia hasn’t come yet sadly but I will find out on Thursday or Friday! If it does come, I will be leaving Down Under on Monday (June 29th)! BUT, if it doesn’t come one of those days, I will be somewhere in the states on Wednesday (July 1st), and nooo I can not come to Oregon sadly, I wish. I’m actually hoping for Hawaii. 😉 Anyways! Lets hope for Monday!

I have 2 sister companions, Sister Kunz from Utah and Sister Alldredge also from Utah! They are such sweet spirits! Love them! They both are also going to Australia so we are all praying for our visas to come!

So like I said before, I can barley remember what happened this week! But mostly I have been going to classes, having companion study, having personal study, and we even got to practice with 2 investigators about the gospel! So far it’s been incredible! Half of the time I don’t know what I’m saying to them but I know that the spirit is helping me. 🙂 Oh! I was also sick on Sunday with a fever of 101 and chills! It was nooo fun but thankfully I am back to my normal self again! 🙂

Also! 2 questions came across to me this week!

  1. Why am I serving a mission?
  1. (This was from my investigator) Why are you (Mormons) sooo nice and always happy?

WELL let me tell you,

some of you are wondering why am I giving up so much to serve a mission? No social media, no texting (yes I have survived, I actually have completely forgot about it) and no calling my family. Some of you are probably thinking, ‘you. are. CRAZY!’ Well! I’m out here serving a mission because I know that I NEED to be out here, I may not have wanted to be doing this but I know it’s what I NEED to do and so far I have been so grateful for it. I have learned so much from it and I already know that my testimony has grown stronger.

There’s more I would like to say but I only have a short time of doing this and no worries, I got like 18 more months for you guys to hear from me, so I guess you can say I’m leaving you a cliff hanger so you can hear more of what I have to say. 😉

Lastly,

Why am I so nice?  Well, this made me think. I care A LOT about my family, friends and practically anyone. I care about a lot of people’s happiness than my own. I will be friends with anyone, no matter what you have been through or what you are going through or what your past has been like or what you look like. I do not judge. I have learned since I was young that Christ was the most kindest and perfect person in the world. Yes we all, and myself can NOT be perfect, we ALL make mistakes, but you can ALWAYS be kind, and nice. And that’s what I have always learned. I know that all of you can strive to be Christlike each and everyday, not only will it make you happy but it will make others happy. And that’s why I am always happy and so kind because I know I can strive to be like Christ, not perfect, but kind.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day and continue to have a blessed week!

Don’t forget to say your prayers! 🙂

Sincerely.

I AM ALIVE!

Hi mom and dad!

Well it’s day 3 in the MTC and words can’t explain how happy and grateful I am to be here. Seriously. I have already learned so much and I am already feeling good enough with my spirit. I only have 30 minutes to email you right now to just let you know that I am alive, I’m not starving, wanting to murder my companions or dead on the ground. 🙂

I have 2 companions and it’s actually funny, I met these 2 sisters online! Ha! Sister Kunz and Sister Alldredge are my companions and they both are 19! They are just the sweetest girls. We get along great and have our first investigator tomorrow! Woohoo! We are pretty excited and hoping the spirit will be in the room strongly.

Like you said mom, it’s really hard to remember EVERYTHING! But all I can really tell you is that this place brings so much happiness, comfort and the spirit.

We met with our branch president last night and we got to introduce ourselves and then have a private interview and tell him a little more personal stuff. But I explained to him how when it comes to studying the gospel I like to write things down, and slowly understand and he told me that is all I need to do and keep on doing it. And so far it has helped me A LOT.

I wish I could tell you so much more but like I said, I only have a short time!

My P-DAY this week will be on Tuesday so be on the look out for my general email! 🙂

Thank you so much for your Dear Elder letters! So sweet of you guys! I love you so much and miss you so much!

I know the gospel is true and I’m so glad that I am serving for the Lord and doing his work. I’m also grateful that I had a tender heart and I prayed about a mission, so crazy to think how the Lord tells us when it is the right time. I still haven’t gotten my VISA yet but I know I will soon, just takes time. 🙂

I LOVE YOU!!!

Sister Grawrock

PS I was going to send you some pictures but it won’t let me! Don’t worry though! You’ll get pictures soon enough!

PPS. Give the kitties hugs for me!

Hi everyone
